Building Intelligent Digital Infrastructure: Armenia’s experience and vision

The Silicon Mountains 2025 Lori Forum and Expo hosted a panel discussion on the topic of “Intelligent Digital Infrastructures.” During the session, Nerses Yeritsyan, Director of the Information Systems Agency of Armenia, presented the government’s experience and strategic vision for the future of digital infrastructure in Armenia.

In his remarks, Mr. Yeritsyan emphasized the importance of enacting appropriate legislation in the digital infrastructure sphere – based on trust and accountability. He underscored that digital infrastructure is no longer solely a technological matter, but one that directly impacts national security, development, and the quality of public services.

Mr. Yeritsyan also highlighted the critical role of public-private cooperation in the context of data management, identifying it as a key factor for the sustainable development of digital infrastructure.

The panel further explored the potential of artificial intelligence in addressing challenges related to digital infrastructure. Participants reflected on the vision and prospects for building technological community in the regions, as well as discussed the role of educational programs in supporting this transformation. The discussion emphasized the need for collaboration in advancing digital skills and innovation.

Overall, the forum served as a significant platform for identifying current challenges in the field through state-private dialogue, and for discussing practical solutions and future steps.
