June 03, 2026

On June 3, 2026, the Chairman of the Information Systems Authority, Nerses Yeritsyan, participated in the panel discussion titled “Cybersecurity as a National Priority,” held within the framework of the RISE Forum.

During the discussion, Mr. Yeritsyan emphasized that cybersecurity is no longer solely a technological issue; it is one of the key prerequisites for national resilience, economic security, and the formation of a trust-based digital environment.

Referring to the main challenges of the field, he noted that in the context of growing and rapidly evolving cyber threats, when there is a shortage of qualified professionals in the market and efforts often remain fragmented, ensuring cybersecurity is possible only through close cooperation between the state, the private sector, academic and professional communities, timely information exchange, and coordinated actions.

“It is important to understand that cybersecurity is not an obstacle on the path of innovation. On the contrary, it is the foundation upon which scalable and resilient digital progress can be built. Strong cybersecurity, in the long term, increases the country’s competitiveness, strengthens trust in digital services, and contributes to the full realization of existing potential,” Mr. Yeritsyan noted.

The discussion of the cybersecurity topic within the framework of the RISE Forum once again highlighted the key importance of a secure and trustworthy digital environment for Armenia’s technological development, the expansion of digital services, and the enhancement of economic competitiveness.
