On November 1, the “Digital Dialogue: Estonia – Armenia” workshop, organized by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA), was held at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Petra Holm, Digital Transformation Advisor at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, as well as senior government officials, representatives of the business and academic communities, international partners, and industry experts.
In his welcoming remarks, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the development of the digitalization sector is among Armenia’s top priorities. He spoke about the need to implement revolutionary changes in the field of digitalization and, in that context, underscored the importance of developing expert potential.
“We have gathered today to learn from Petra Holm how digitalization works in Estonia — a country recognized as a global leader in this field — and to draw valuable insights from her presentation,” noted the Prime Minister, expressing hope that the workshop would make a meaningful contribution to the effective implementation of Armenia’s digitalization agenda.
The keynote speech was delivered by Petra Holm, Digital Transformation Advisor at the e-Estonia Briefing Centre, who presented Estonia’s internationally acclaimed experience in digitalization and e-governance. She provided a detailed overview of the mechanisms and solutions that have made Estonia one of the world’s leading examples of a digital state.
It should be recalled that during his official visit to Estonia on April 27–28, 2025, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre in Tallinn, where he was introduced to the Centre’s activities, Estonia’s digital and e-governance architecture, as well as the country’s ongoing and planned digital transformation initiatives.
