From July 23-25, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the Central Bank, and the Information Systems Agency, in collaboration with “Google Mandiant,” organized a workshop on “Incident Response Preparedness.”

The purpose of the workshop is to present and discuss the challenges of cybersecurity vulnerabilities faced by public administration authorities and stakeholders in the private sector in Armenia, to enhance the capabilities of incident response, to develop national capacities, and to localize international best practices.

The First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mr. Gevorg Mantashyan, emphasised the importance of consolidating efforts in the context of state and private sector cooperation to meet the existing challenges in cybersecurity. The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Armen Nurbekyan, highlighted that ensuring the continuity, continuous provision and protection from cyber vulnerabilities of national critical infrastructures, including the financial system, is of vital importance.

Such events will continue to be organized to develop national capacities and to enhance the cybersecurity of infrastructures and information systems.
