Developing a roadmap for the implementation of CERT/ CSIRT in Armenia

The Information Systems Agency of Armenia in collaboration with the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University on February 1st organized a workshop on the theme: “Developing a roadmap for the implementation of a national computer emergency response center (CERT/ CSIRT) in Armenia”.

Computer Emergency Response Center (CERT) has the mission to investigate and coordinate the response to cyber security incidents. CERT centers operating in different countries cooperate actively by sharing information on cyber incidents, as well as notifying about cyber security issues.

The AM-CERT, founded by the Information Systems Agency of Armenia, has the mission to investigate and coordinate the response to cyber security incidents for the national critical infrastructure of Armenia. The AM-Cert is internationally certified and is the contact point for international co-operation in the field of cybersecurity.

The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is one of the founder of the first CERT centers worldwide which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The SEI conducts R&D in software engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and many other areas of computing, working to introduce private-sector innovations into government.
